location plan . Eumundi, Queensland
ground plan . building measuremtents : 18.4m x 6.4m the building consists mainly out of two rooms: the living room and a bath. partition walls can be used to change the rooms... bath and kitchen shares the water supply of only one wall.
cross section the building with its glass facade is oriented to the south. first of all because of avoiding extreme sun in the summer and because of having an amazing view over the landscape.
front view by using a glass facade and concrete columns the building seems to be lighter and more open.
perspective
top view the long and narrow windows give more light for the back. they are also used for cross ventilation with the floor openings near the glass facade. the milkglass in the middle of the roof gives you both for the bath natural sunlight and privacy.
without using partition walls you have a big room, which opens himself completely to the nature. the main 'room' use a wood floor for a warmer feeling inside, the bath has a dark stone floor with floor heating.
you can splitt the room by using partition walls, which are hidden between the furniture and the interior wall
furniture using example because stephen page is a choreographer and dancer he needs free space to try out anything, when ever he want. so the furniture has the opportunity to disappear and free the room when ever he want.
